Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor/Licenced Conveyancer to join our Residential Property Team.
We are a traditional high street Law Firm who have been serving families, individuals and companies for over a century. Many of our clients are loyal repeat clients due to the levels of service that they receive from us, so we don’t pay referral fees.
You will play an essential role in assisting clients in their transactions, providing expert legal advice and ensuring smooth completions whilst keeping clients fully informed of progress, assisted by dedicated support staff and our case management system.

Responsibilities
- To manage a varied caseload of conveyancing matters including purchase, sale, remortgage, leasehold, right to buy and transfers of equity.
- Able to effectively manage a team of support staff
- Take full and detailed instructions from clients and give clear advice on all aspects of the transaction
- Coordinate legal research and the preparation and assessment of legal documentation
- Investigate title documents, search results and mortgage documentation and advise clients accordingly in a friendly and clear manner
- Comply with mortgage lender requirements as set out in the CML and BSA Handbooks to ensure that the firms conveyancing panel membership is maintained
- Completing work in a timely manner and within the standards required by CQS
- Maintain good relationships with Estate Agents and other legal professionals
- Directly answerable to the Head of Conveyancing
Requirements
- Excellent organisational skills to ensure that all deadlines are met in timely manner
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to interpret complex legal matters in a way that is easily understood by clients
- Ability to provide excellent levels of client care and to adequately manage client expectations
- An ambitious person able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision and who is also able to work well within a team to ensure that colleagues feel supported
- Candidates working towards qualifications will be considered, dependent upon Residential Conveyancing experience
